I asked because he was examined by the White House physician and thought perhaps this could be skewed information, but I understand due to a previous poster that one can increase one's height by stretching, lengthening the limbs, etc.
Yes, I did. I used to be 5"7.5" and am now 5"8.25". I am 66, and this happened definitely after my 50s. I exercise, had regular chiropractic and other bodywork. It is indeed possible for some to increase height.
I'm under the impression that gaining weight can increase height slightly... whether it's added fat or muscle. Not sure how it works. In this case, though, the doctor says he lost 5 pounds. Interesting, I didn't know that was possible.
Really? It could be that exam was in the morning. I've read that people are slightly taller in the morning, from having been lying down all night. The spine settles as it bears weight during the day.
One of my friends is 50 and has grown an inch in the last year, since she started doing pilates every day.
Really? I'm going to give that a try. I'm not short, but it wouldn't hurt to have another inch through my midsection.
