You called it....you're overweight...knees aren't meant for more weight than you're supposed to have. AND...UNCONTROLLED diabetes??? C'mon...you need to see a doctor and get yourself on track.....otherwise, it won't just be "aching knees"...it will be kidney failure, possible toe/foot/leg amputation (then your knees won't bother you!) or heart attack. Get thee to a doctor and get your diabetes controlled.....NOW!
I would worry about some kind of infection in your knees. Been doing anything unusual lately, like some kind of exercise or work?
I did switch up my gymn routine last week from 15 minutes on bike or treadmill and 45 minutes weights to 60 minutes full cardio between bike and tread mill.i think this week i'll go back to the old routine..
cb at sea you are absolutely correct and i'm fully aware of my total failure at keeping my diabetes under control,my doctor, endocrinologist, dietitian and trainer at the gymn are all aware of the problem but as yet i cant shake the addiction to food,Giving up Smoking and alcohol some years ago seem like childs play by comparison.
I know it's hard, but diabetes WILL kill you...and not quickly, generally speaking. You HAVE to get that under control, even if you can't control the other aspects of your life! Nowadays, insulin can be adjusted to your life, if needed. Please...go talk to your doc!!!!
I'm supposed to but i' stopped taking them a few months ago when i discovered they were the cause of my morning wake up leg cramps..
I have a doctors appointment next week and i'll ask if there is some other drug other than statins that can lower cholesterol.
You probably qualify for gastric bypass. I had one two years ago and went from 7 insulin shots/day to 2 pills. It is now recognized as a cure for DM-II. Most people need no insulin after the surgery.
