Anyone have experience wearing extended wear contact lenses? Any problems? I've worn disposable contacts for 15 years.

My daughter wears hers 24/7, with only taking them out ocassionally to clean. Saw a show that compared different "length" lens.....they are all basically the same!

I wore Biofinity until my prescription expired. My doctor didn't approve me wearing them more than a few days/nights in a row but they are approved for up to 30 days wear. I've worn Acuvue overnight (by accident) and my eyes got so dry I couldn't see straight for 6-12 hours after I took them out but with the Biofinity I was wearing them up to 7 days straight with only needing to add drops when I woke up each day. Loved that and hope to get the same lenses again when I get my exam soon. Groupon had an offer a few weeks ago and they were really cheap but I couldn't get in on it. I hope they run that offer again!

My doctor prescribed Biofinity for my daughter too but she didn't like them at all!

I slept in my lenses and ended up with conjuntiva (sp?): pink eye.

I'll only wear my lenses when working, or on a date.

Otherwise, I'm more comfortable with glasses and will wear them. My lenses are comfortable and moist, but they are still foreign objects to my eyes. IMO, there is always a (slight) risk of contamination from anything foreign in the body (including eyes).

I wore them for a month a couple times and my eyes knew the difference. The best I can describe it is scratchy feeling. I prefer the disposables or none at all.

Yes, the disposables are the best.

I used to wear the 30 day 24/7 for numerous years. Got conjunctivitus once in 20 yrs. As long as keep your eyes lubricated and your fingers away from your eyes you'll be fine.
