Ibuprofen....store brand, for most pain, when I really need it....usually, I just put up with minor aches/pains when they occur!

Aspirin, for a sunburn.

I don't know but I have always found a combo of NSAIDs and Tylonol is great for extreme pain. My daughter in law who is a MD specialising in pain recommended that for me and it has worked great for the severe headaches I get.

This is one reason I avoid Frankenpainrelievers:

Acetaminophen: Painkiller or Pain Producer?

High doses of acetaminophen are a leading cause of liver damage in the U.S., and even recommended dosages cause serious liver damage, especially in individuals with pre-existing liver disease or damage, and alcohol and/or narcotic dependency.

Aspirin has been around for over 100 years, proven to be very safe for the most part (Of course there are cautions to take....side effects too). The max dosage is 4000 mg(4 grams) a day.......that is more than I have ever taken.

I have had horrible pain, migraines, very sore joints.....2*500mg aspirin always will knock the pain out every time.

More than the recommended amount of advil can cause kidney failure or bleeding, especially in older people.

Any medication will probably affect something negatively if you take more than the recommended amount - indeed many do that even at the recommended amount!

Naproxen is a fantastic pain reliever. My go-to.

Wish it didn't eat my stomach up.

Now I am more likely to use ice or heat for pain. Stretches and massage for muscle/joint pain.

Figured out that I can ward off a headache sometimes if someone massages the back of my neck right as it is starting up.

Naproxen works best for me. Acetaminophen does nothing for me. I rarely take pain pills.
