I'm with you, John. Everyone I personally know that sees a chiropractor, seems to quickly end up with chronic problems that require seeing a chiropractor ongoing, indefinitely.
I went to mine last week for lower back pain (which I had been experiencing since last November). One adjustment, pain is literally 90% gone. Going back today for one more adjustment.
I have almost always had good experience with my sporadic chiropractic treatment and only go when something suddenly goes awry. I have only had one chiro in 30 years that was useless - and he used that thumping machine someone else talked about - so perhaps it is where they are trained that makes a difference.
