hand surgery, if you only want to change the structure of the thumb and make it just a little longer and thinner? like not even half an inch longer.

No hand surgeon is going to do the surgery you describe to make your thumb "longer and thinner"

There is no indication for such a surgery, no need for such a surgery, no surgery available to accomplish those goals. So the cost is zero....


Now, if you had a legitimate reason such as a growth arrest or partial amputation of the thumb there are ways to accomplish "lengthening" via distraction osteogenesis or toe to hand transfers....both procedures would run in the high tens of thousands of dollars. Neither would ever be considered for cosmetic purposes.
