only thing I can think of to suggest is a detox program from a health food store. Not cheap but not as expensive as another dr.

Have you tried eliminating gluten? Gluten does affect some people that way.

I guess when I say excellent health what I mean is that I have a healthy diet which emphasizes whole grains and fresh/healthy eating. I have mostly eliminated dyes and HF corn syrup from my diet. I rarely drink and have never smoked or used drugs. Every blood test I have ever had has come back in the normal range, and i have not had any abnormal health problems aside from season allergies. I exercise 4 times per week, running 2-3 miles per session, and try and walk/bike most places I go, other than to work when I drive. I am at a healthy BMI and most people would say I "look healthy" for my age.

I take a multivitamin daily plus grape seed extract and thyroid hormone supplements. I drink about 4-6 glasses of water per day. Used to do 8 but i heard that was an old wives tale. I have problems sleepwalking and often have confusion arousal episodes, which I think could relate to not feeling rested when I wake up.

I think I might try going gluten free to see if that has any effect on me.

I was just talking with a fairly young woman yesterday who said at one point she was exhausted all of the time. Turned out she had something wrong with her heart. Sounds like you've had several possibilities checked out, but it's one you may want to consider. Some people have heart problems and don't even know it.

Have you ever heard of EDS? EHLERS DANLOS SYNDROME. My 26 yr old daughter has the exact same lifestyle as you, and about a year ago was diagnosed. Check it out! It's a disorder you have to learn to manage.

Just looked up Narcolepsy. Interesting. They mention normal REM sleep as taking 90 mins to begin. I fall asleep dreaming, meaning I start dreaming before I'm fully asleep. Thought that was normal.

Anyway, I was plagued by sleepiness and insomnia. I never did settle into a desk job. I could only function doing physical work.
