My one year old has a burn on his hand and won't keep his bandage on,any ideas?

Did you take him to see a doctor? How bad is the burn? Should you take him to a hospital emergency room? Maybe put him in something with really long sleeves that cover his hands so he'll leave the bandage alone? What size is the burn? Is the bandage a huge thing, or is it a band-aid? If it's just a small burn and it's a band-aid, maybe a pair of gloves.
