Does anyone else feel more tired-- especially after just getting up-- when you sleep for an extended amount of time (10 hours or more)? During school, I'm used to getting 6 hours sleep on average with instances where I only slept for 4 or 5 hours some nights. Strangely enough, I would not wake up extremely exhausted. Now that the summer has begun, I sleep for 10 and even 11 hours. But when I get up, I STILL feel tired. I can't seem to find a perfect amount of sleep that would be sufficient and leave me with a refreshed feeling when I wake up. Anyone else have this problem and is it weird for me to have this problem as a teenager?

When I get 5-6 hours of sleep, I actually wake up feeling extremely pumped and ready to go. Any more than 7 1/2 hours or so, and I feel extremely exhausted with terrible sleep lag. 10 or more hours will leave me feeling terribly lethargic all day long.

Everyone need for sleep varies, and if you oversleep you'll feel just as tired as if you did not get enough sleep. Just have to experiment and see what works for you.
