I havw an ingrown hair for a week and finally.with hot compress and trple antibiotic ointment.an hydrocortisone cteam it has gone flat my pharmisist said if its flat then thats good

I have/had an ingrown hair I put hot compresses followed with triple antibotic ointment and hydrcortisone cream it is now flat pharmisist said if its flat thats good. If you pop it clean it with.peroxide every time before applying the ointment and hydrocortisone cream

This doesn't sound like an ingrown hair, it sounds like a cyst. I don't know how big it is, has it gotten bigger and worse over the past few months. A real warm washcloth kept on it for awhile until it cools, then do it again, will help it come to a head. If however the infection just keeps coming back you need to go see a doctor, you do not want it to spread.

My husband has often problems with ingrown hairs. I can also recommend hot compresses for 10-15 minutes. After your skin is mascerated, you can pull out the hair with a needle without problems.

You can also use special hydrocortisone creams, but some of them are not this effective, but really expensive. my husband uses a cream from Anthony Logistics, I made good experiences with pads from Bliss. Just found a nice video on YT about ingrown hair removal:



But like I’ve said in the beginning: hot compresses are much more effective than any creams.
