What is a headache and how do they feel like? (sinuses, pain)

I am male and have never had a headache, so I don't know what a headache is, although my relatives have headaches fairly often.

So what is it? Is it rare to have never gotten a headache? Do women experience it more then men? Is that partially why I have never gotten a headache?

It's pain...... in your head.


There are tension headaches, sinus headaches, migraine, occipital nueropathy (sp??)...

But essentially it's pain located above the shoulders.

That's incredibly rare. And yes, like others have said, it's like having pain in any part of your body, except in this case in your head.

It's like - you know when you go swimming in a heavily chlorinated pool, and when you come out, you feel pressure behind your eyes and in your sinuses?

It's sort of like that, but it throbs, and lingers, and can go deeper, and be sharper and more intense.

There are all sorts of headaches and they can vary from annoying to tormenting. I think women do get them more often than men - hormones and all.

No, we get them because of men.
