Hey folks. Very minor reason for a thread, but its something I've noticed since I started getting flu shots back in the 90s. More often than not about 6-8 hours after I get a flu shot I feel a little "crappy" for lack of a better word. Not sick, just a little achy, tired and no appetite. By the next morning after the shot I'm fine. Its so minor that I certainly wouldn't pass up on the benefits of the vaccine. Is that just my immune system kicking into gear? Do others have a small reaction like that?

I was told that it is your body building up its immunity. I felt pretty crappy the next day after I got a flu shot a couple of weeks ago.

I have frequently felt like that but not for the last few years.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one! Yeah, the last few years I didn't notice anything. This year it the vaccine must have been adjusted for some new stuff or something.

From my understanding, they are injecting you with the flu so naturally, you may be prone to feeling sick...like, with the flu.

As you build up immunity, (through flu shots), it should get better.

Or you can build up your immunity the natural way...which is what I prefer. Haven't had the flu in...geez...20 years?!

Those shots are actually a ow dose of the flu, right? I would think it is normal to feel a little ill. I know I get aches and feel a bit yukky...

I do not believe that they use live flu virus anymore, but I could be wrong.

I think the nasal vaccine does use a live virus... it is one of the 3 common vaccines.

Never had a flue vaccine... although, this year the management is making a big deal about it.

The nasal vaccine contains live virus. The shot does not.
