Is there any associated rash with this soreness?
If so, it could be shingles.
Best bet- go see your primary care physician. It sounds as though you need a visual examination, somethng which cannot be given on the boards, and possibly some blood tests or radiology studies.
Good luck

I had to have my gallbladder out in emergency surgery last Christmas because I was ignoring my symptoms. It took me throwing up blood and getting jaundice to finally go to the doctor. I had thought it was an ulcer or something like that but it wasn't. If the pain is on the right under your breast area and it comes and goes it sounds like gallstones.

I've been into self healing since 1991 when I started having health problems, luckily at that time I'd been working at a health food store and was able to get my hands on some quick and effective advice. Since then I've been observing how much the medical system has been failing and was glad I discovered the information early on so I wouldn't be left hanging about what to do about my own health.
Anyway, there's this stuff I've been using for about 10 years now called Noni. It has many uses, kind of like 'cures what ails ya'. I use it for 'mystery' ailments until I can figure out what it is(or in most people's cases until they can get to the doctor).

The doctor just gave him an examination. He ended up taking some medication for a couple of weeks and that was it. Sorry I don't remember the name of the medicine anymore. Hope you feel better.

Sounds like gallstones to me, I remember the night I went to the emergency room the doctor pushed down in that area to see if it hurt worse when he let off. Do yourself a favor, if it is gallstones try the methods for getting rid of them before you go ahead and have it removed, unless of course that's the only option for some reason. I wish someone would have told me the affect living without a gallbladder would have on my body. I couldn't be away from a bathroom for years afterward, and forget about any kind of fast food. The gallbladder helps the body to pass along fats and toxins so not having one has a huge affect on the bodies digestion.

Correct. Try drinking lemon water then until your appointment, that helps flushing of gallstones. It can't hurt otherwise, lemons are considered one of the 'perfect foods'.

I've been fine without my gallbladder for the past year. After the surgery I did a lot of research on the net about what to expect without it and it's true, for some people there are issues with food going right through you, but for others there aren't any problems. I will say though, gallstones can be the result of eating bad foods (i.e. too rich food, too much fast food, etc.) so it's kind of a wake up call to eat healthier. That can't be a bad thing, can it?

I did notice a red dot at the center of my pain, moderate size and another small one directly below it on my inner thigh. These showed up yesterday, so maybe it is shingles. As far as gall bladders go, I know 4 people who have had theirs removed recently and one is in deck. Gallstones are much less prevalent in countries that eat a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, healthy oils, and low in fried foods, particulary Japan, China, and the Mediterranean.
