how do you deal mentally turning 62- is it downhill now physically and sexually. How do you deal with all the aches and pains, and knowing that you are old now and time is short likea old car where anything can go wrong
What is the best way to try to feel and stay young, food, exercise, or maybe cosmetic surgery for those wrinkles
Even unhealthy people now live into their 80's, so if you try to remain as youthful in all those ways you will do very well. I think getting any and all cosmetic procedures to keep looking good is totally worth it. This includes keeping yourself at a normal weight and getting regular exercise like a daily walk. Keep romance alive with viagra, special dates. Keep mentally alive with new hobbies, classes. Get the shingles vaccine, keep up with flu shots, make your diet more natural.
I dated a 65 yr old man, and he did not need viagra! I agree positive thinking and what others have said about diet,.and exercise,.cosmetic surgery. The best is yet to come. You could live to 90 or longer.
I recommend the book "Younger Next Year" by Crowley and Lodge. One of the co-authors (Lodge) is an MD. They review the evidence for how to remain vital and healthy as we age. Regular exercise is key, but good diet and remaining socially active are also very important. Becoming isolated, such as just staying at home watching TV, is deadly. Much of what we traditionally think of as aging is really just letting ourselves go (i.e., not exercising, etc.).
A side issue - I am wondering why to OP picked age 62 as the benchmark? It could just as well have been anywhere from 55 to 70, it seems to me.
Basically you keep active, exercise regularly, and eat healthy.
