If you are not talking about physically falling, but your life falling, and you going down with it... depression, anxiety...
I would suggest see someone about it. If you are not a pill person, try something that does not include a pill, if that doesn't work, I would say, become a one pill a day person. Depression, imo, gets worse over time. Anxiety can go to panic attacks...
Depression and anxiety can come hand and hand.
Good luck in whatever you do, and I hope things get better for you....
Only thing I can tell you is from personal experience.....the thyroid pills were murder on me!! I was psychotic on them. I know they help most people but my wonderful Dr. gave me a high dosage when in reality I didn't need any at all. It took me about of year of being miserable and making everyone around me miserable before the problem was found. I got a second opinion finally!. Remember...your thyroid controls every part of your body/mind in one way or another. It may be worth getting a second opinion about your dosage and the particular kind of thyroid medication you are taking. I can't say this is what you are having problems with but it did happen to me!! Good luck.
And get outside and take a walk. I can't stress how important this is. Yesterday I drove down to the ocean and walked several miles along the cliffs as the sun was setting. If you want to put your life in perspective look out of the ocean or take a walk through the mountains.
Personally I think it is the thyroid medication that you are on, and I bet you it is Synthroid. If so, then I would ask to switch to Amour. (I hope the spelling is correct.) Doctors always tell you that it isn't the drug, and when I check out the PDR it is just as I thought, the drug.

I read your post again. If you are having these problems after you started the thyroid Medication, yes, it could be that. Do some research as Jesaka suggests and consider switching the meds or changing the dosage. Doctors do not always know what they are talking about. You have to do your own research.
I started using the xanax, one at 8 a.m and felt alot better. Wasnt antsy at all after that. I have a court case 11/8 and i think that's making me nervous too, plus the little dog sick and throwing up every night. Have alot on my plate till Nov. Then i expect things will brighten up. Thanks for all the suggestions and concerns.

Please have your thyroid level (TSH) checked. Your dose may need adjusting, in addition to all the stuff going on in your life.
I agree mary, she should do that, and if she is on the synthetic thyroid, she may wish to change it t the natural because more people prefer it for many reasons
