Homeopathic doctors?
I was having a medically horrible day today, thought about my medical rollercoaster and realized I first starting having trouble over NINE YEARS AGO! After a long list of medications, treatments, and diagnostic tests, I've gotten nowhere. I looked up a homeopathic doctor who seems to really know her stuff (and isn't trying to sell a product), but I'm still skeptical. I made an appointment, but it's quite a bit more money to see a homeopathic doctor.
Anyone have experience with a homeopathic doctor? What were the results?

While I have never seen a homeopath myself (don't know where to find a good one in my immediate area), I would definitely consider doing so.
My brother spent a year in Germany as an exchange student, and he stayed with a classical homeopath and family as his hosts. Over there, classical homeopathy is a highly respected part of the medical community. He said the patients were thrilled with their care and were inclined to try homeopathy before anything with the hard-core medications like we take here. The doc he stayed with did very extensive questioning and then prepared the remedies accordingly, from scratch.
Hopefully this approach works for you - I hope you have a good rapport with the practitioner and get some answers and treatment. Keep us posted please!

Be cautious of a lot of herbals, particularly if, for some reason you contiune to take prescription medication. These can adversely affect many script medicines.
Additonally, should anything happen where you must go back to the MD, be sure to have a list of the herbals and their dosages. Remember also, that herbals are medicaitons (though unregulated), and can have adverse reactions to blood clotting mechanisms (among other things) which could impact any surgery procedures, and anesthetics.
When was the last time you had a good overall physical? Perhaps that is a measure to take into consideration.

I need to mention that classical homeopaths do not do herbals - they give you homeopathic remedies. It is drastically different - herbals can be strong with some contraindications and side effects, while homeopathic remedies are safe for everyone and have no side effects at all. Homeopathic remedies will not cause problems with surgeries or anesthetics if those are ever required. I have visited a naturopath who used a combination of diet, herbals, and homeopathics in her practice.
Here are a couple of links:
How are Homeopathic Remedies Made?
What are they and How are they Made (broken link)
Thought maybe some clarification was in order.

I'm thinking about seeing one depending on how my breast sonagram comes out next week.
I think it's a great idea and I'm all for it.
In the long run, the expense may not matter, you'll be better off getting off the meds.
I believe that a holistic doctor will ease you in on there method, and ease you off the meds. in a safe way.

I am a homeopathic practitioner, of a sort. I do massage therapy on animals. I have seen some amazing things with dogs that could barely walk. Dietary changes and one or two massages made them whole new animals.
I would have no problem seeing a homeopathic doctor, or at least one who understood the principals and was willing to consider them.
I used to take 7 different meds every day. Now I take none. Dietary changes and chiropractic helped me.
I say "Go for it!" Good luck.
