I am doing health tests for the 50 set. Just had the colonoscopy. Am fine. Never had any heart tests, so am having this done today. Not worried at all about the procedure. They look for calcium deposits that may form which I guess can be a sign of blockage? Anybody do this? I am told it doesn't take very long and no pain involved.

I had the heart scan done 3 years ago, age 65. Scored a 1.7, where 1-10 is minimal buildup, 11-100 is Mild Over 400 is bad.. Took about 5 minutes, absolutely no pain. It's just a fancy x-ray. Cost me about $300, not covered by insurance.

Just now had carotid artery ultrasound. Passed.

Yes, no pain, quick.

I've had two performed, both times three zeros (very good).

Head's Up: Make sure your insurance covers this.

Other tests: Nuclear treadmill, carotid artery, bone density, dental exam (often a predictor of heart disease).
