frequent urinating in the morning
Hi fellow humans !
Moderator cut: off topic, and do not really know how things go. Can I ask question if somebody had a similar experience then I had ? and what they did for it ? or ?
I was told for 60 years that I have a enlarged prostate, I am 79. Four months ago I was told I have polycythemia rubria, I am on bloodthinner Apo-Hydroxyurea 500 mg, and for a week now I have the very strong urge to urinate in the morning 10 to 15 times, sometimes only minutes appart in often very small quantities. This allmost makes me afraid to go to bed. I also have Vericose vein's, which are infected for maybe 8 months now. Otherwise I feel not ot bad.
Is there somebody out there, who could advice me ???

Werner,
You may want to talk to your doctor about this.

Hallo Grennie, and cinderobyn !
Thank you for your answers.
I did see my doctor, who send me to a Bloodspecialist, otherwise I would not have gotten the presciption pills.
The Varicose vein's I have for over 5 years. Since they are not the spider vaines, my doctor told me, their is not much you can do about it.
The most puzzling questian I have, why is the intense urinating allways early in the morning, after laying down for some time ? I wonder if there is something I should do differend in my everyday life, like do I eat or drink the wrong things, at the wrong time ? Lately their is a lot of talk on radio and TV about this things, but where can you get the right answers ?
If anybody can help me in my quest, I would be very thankfull.
Werner the searching Canadian.

Please please please ask your doctor to get tested for prostate cancer. It's as simple as a blood test.

Yes, it is normal to urinate in the morning. Yes, multivitamins can alter the color of urine, due to the presence of food colors.
BUT- this person needs to talk to his physician about a referal to a board certified Urologist. If he does not get statisfaction concerning this, he should find a second opinon primary care physician.
He has urinary retention, and that needs to be addressed by an MD / DO urologist.
