Coincidentally I watched that movie last night. So depressing. In my opinion there are no healthCARE insurance companies. Our system seems barbaric to other nations in the western world.

It's the health care lobbyists that want to make the system appear capitalist, yet restrict options for customers by socializing and regulating certain aspects of it. Reminds me of how China does things. Oppressive communist regime with a imbalanced wild wild west capitalist infrastructure. Worst of both worlds.

Anyone can find themselves at the bottom of the barrel at any given time. We never thought that would happen us.

inappropriate language I am going out on a limb right now, but not one middleclass american should vote for any politician that will not find a way to have people insured thru the state. Single payer system. I have fantastic insurance and have had trouble with payments and coverage. the entire system is broken. 120000 a year for insurance with a high deductible is just wrong.
I am not asking for something for nothing we all pay TAX yes Income Tax and sorry but 500 BILLION is now thrown away in the wonderful land of Iraq. are ya mad yet???

Don't forget a 400B medicare plan that would make Vladimir Lenin proud.
Make it capitalist or make it socialized. Don't straddle the fence.

Again we have the ability to make it anything we want! We need to be herd. We need to march on washington. Believe me 4 5 or6 million showing up in DC would make it known how angry we are. But alas the IZEGOTMINZE mentality will strike. And nothing will happen.

The crowd rioted about a loser like Rodney King in LA. What about the uninsured millions and the folks living in homeless shelters while working full time.
Boston Tea Party time.
Watch Lou Dobbs on CNN for the truth about the attack on the middle class. Channel 29 on Raleigh Time-Warner.

I'm confused. I was told that banning abortion and gay marriage would fix everything.

i used short-term united healthcare through this website when i was consulting earlier in the year between "real" jobs.
Health Insurance, Medical Insurance, Individual Health Insurance Quotes
My deductible was pretty high since i really just wanted insurance for a real emergency, but my monthly bill was only $40. I think the policy came in 6 month increments.

-Finally, what about insurance companies like Aetna, Cigna, etc.? Why do most people in NC prefer BCBS?
I would appreciate any and all thoughts you have on this subject.

I haven't read through all the posts, but I think you'd be better off switching to a high-deductible plan and putting the money you save in a Health Savings Account. I pay $121 a month for my insurance and put my money into an HSA...
