For the last 2-3 wks, but NOT always daily, my body will naturally wake up at 3 or 4 something in the morning...maybe even 2 something AM & I try to go back to sleep, but can't, so I get on the computer. I might go back to sleep in a couple hrs or maybe not. I'm not going to sleep at night at any different time.

Why is this happening? The only thing I can think of is that I have a different work schedule since returning from the holiday break in which I now have MTW off & this waking up early only seems to happen on the days I do NOT work, which are MTW & Sat & Sun.

I'm not liking this! I want to naturally wake up at 7:30 at the earliest! I do not want to start taking any kinds of pills, OTC aides, etc....strictly all-natural sleeping aides, preferrably some type of teas, but which type? I just turned 39 last week BTW. (For work, my alarm's set for about 6 AM).

I guess I'm getting at that age, but I still feel way too young for that! It feels kinda wierd being that I'm not married nor have any kids yet. It would be nice to have a child though.

That's my answer as well...you're in your 30s right? Well, that makes you a prime candidate for peri-menopause.

If you really want to know, go to your dr and ask for an FSH level..(simple lab test) because if you really want children and you're heading into peri menopause (or might be there) your ability to easily conceive is slipping by.

Perimenopause can start 10+ years before you actually go into real menopause.

Tons of natural sleep supplements like meltonin, herbs, teas, even just warm milk. Also don't drink much an hour or two before bed.
