Dr. Oz was a well-respected cardiac surgeon before he was on TV and he still practices. About as real as you can get.

They will eventually find something wrong with everything. Eat fruits and vegetables but die from pesticides or buy organic and find out 20 years from now that there is something wrong with organic.

I have waitressed for 45 years and will never forget the day the headlines were DeCaf coffee is worst than regular coffee.
People who had been drinking DeCaf for years came in for lunch and all ordered regular coffee with a big smile. Until that day these people wouldn't touch real coffee.

You just have to wait, it will all change.
Eggs anyone?

I've never had a bad experience with canola oil. It was always loving and treated me with respect. Coconut oil on the other hand is a jerk.

Why would a GMO plant seed oil cause brain fog? You know, an actual rational reason, not hand-waving hysteria. Seems like if you're already worried about genes in plants you likely already have brain fog.

Are you worried you'll turn extra green and curly if you eat a lettuce that has been cross-bred and selected for extra greeness and curliness (properties conferred by genes)?

gctattacgtcttt is safe but gctattacgtcaaa isn't right?

Yes, my friend is allergic to it. She can't eat any food that was cooked in canola oil. It's a serious allergy with terrible side effects.

well keeping it simple-wise...people are going to believe what they want to believe. it's not about attitudes like, "today media report this is bad, tomorrow it's something else, pretty soon it's everything", if you have denialist mindset, it's already "game over", it's important to look at evidences and have an open mind.

even evidences can be disinformed ,that's what i've seen. a disinformer can just come along and turn a reliable of evidence into disinformation.

maybe that what lobbyist do , you don't think they work hard to carry out their master's agenda? " let's just distort everything", what they really want is for you to buy their product no matter what.

do you think industry should care about health risks?

"time to put on the logic caps people."

Only if health risks exist.

I use canola oil, the cold pressed non GMO kind, all the time. I have for a number of years. I get brain fog if I miss my morning coffee though!

I missed the memo. What's true and a shame about Dr. Oz? (Aside from his being a quack.)

Possibly - just a single change in a nucleotide can result in a lethal or non-lethal mutation in DNA. How this translates into the affect on human physiology is not something that has been studied long enough to determine the ramifications.
