No, it's not the most dangerous food ingredient right now. Do you think maybe drinking 4 litres of soda per day for years is probably not a very smart thing to do? Especially since most people don't even drink 1 litre of it per day...
You're obese because you overeat. Fatty liver's #1 cause is alcohol - though it's not the only cause. Obesity contributes to it. Obesity also contributes to gout.
So really - you're suffering because you're obese. You're obese - in part - because you drink 2 litres of soda per day for years, in addition to the 3000 calorie dinners you eat every night.
Hydrogenated Oils are still the most dangerous and should be taken out of the food supply. There's ample evidence that they have no reason to be put in peoples bodies.
After that it's probably all the food colorings, again another ingredient that serves no real purpose.
We don't really know how bad HFCS is. But you shouldn't give it all the blame. With those problems, am I right that you've eaten a 35+% fat diet for a while(plenty of oils, meat and junk-food?
I've had my share of HFCS, but I've been a low-fat eater too. I'm 45 with no problems.
