aluminum cooking pots and alzheimer's (doctor, heart, cancer, bloating)

I have heard it said a few times over the years that cooking with aluminum pots and pans will give a person Alzheimer's disease. Anybody have any proof that it is true. Lately I decided to cook with stainless steel and iron pots and pans.

Studies have shown that pieces of aluminum get into the food and cause health problems. I never use them .

Ha, and now a doctor spread his idea that just as iron rusts...that is what it
does inside us...so do not use iron cookware !!!

It can probably be googled...he came on the Dr. Oz show.

Aluminum causes alzheimer's, iron causes rust, plastic causes cancer, meat causes heart disease, vegetables cause cancer due to pesticides, organic vegetables cause worms, air causes lung cancer, water causes bloating.

And - it's all Obama's fault.

I think this covers the latest conspiracy fads - what have I missed?

There has been a suspected link between aluminum and Alzheimer's for decades. I try not to use them, and also limit antiperspirant use as much as possible (Aluminum Chorhydrate is the active ingredient)

Yes, deodorants, which aren't the same as antiperspirants. I try to use the deodorants in the winter when I don't usually perspire, and the antiperspirants in summer.

I have some land in NM I would love to sell you. It is really good land, and near the Rio Grande river. If you believe alum cookware causes Alzeheimers you probably believe almost anything you hear.
