Hi everyone,
I've been diagnosed with an anal fissure with a sentinel pile. Doc is recommending laser surgery for fissure and will remove pile and nip sphincter muscle to reduce spasms if I understand correctly. Two of my siblings used this doc and like him. I'm visiting states from overseas and would like to get tis taken care of while I'm here so don't have a lot of time for second opinion. I'm interested in hearing from anyone who may have had the surgery and if it was successful. He said recovery is painful .....I'm not worried about that....I just want to be healed. Would appreciate hearing your story. Thanks.
I had problems for year with what I thought were Hemorrhoids.......turned out they were actually anal fissures.
Finally went to a colorectal specialist......he diagnosed me and surgically removed/repaired the fissures via cauterization. 20 years of problems....GONE with a short outpatient-surgery.
