I have drank coffee all my life since a little girl, but it does not agree with me anymore. Lots of times it will taste awful, and also even mostly decaf will keep me pumped up and awake at night even if I only drank it in the a.m. The caffeine in green tea does NOT do this to me - there are substances in the coffee.

I was off it for about 6 mo., but now drink it (mixed with decaf) a couple times a week, but probably should stop, because I do NOT sleep on those nights!

Consider it a gift to kick the Starbucks habit. I bet your taste for coffee will come back, but if you aren't compelled to go to Starbucks, try to keep it that way.
I love coffee, but not $6. coffee that tastes burned.

Do children drink coffee in Finland?

I can drink coffee morning, noon and night and really enjoy it.

However, when I ran a commercial kitchen and had to be there at 4:30 am, the mere smell of coffee and bacon were enough to make me feel nauseated.

That was back in England, I don't know if Finnish children drink coffee but my Finnish mum told me I had to pick either tea or coffee to drink from about the age of 8 or 9 so I would be able to accept offers of tea or coffee when we went visiting people... didn't quite agree with her reasoning but I picked coffee because she drank it. Hated it for the first year or so but she still forced me to drink it!

I've never stopped liking coffee, but I have adjusted what I put in it after I got bored of the taste. I put honey in my coffee now, and I don't like how I used to drink it with sugar and milk.

Yes, I drink tea. Some herbal tea, fruit teas and green tea. There's a great small tea shop in San Diego run by the sweetest lady. She got me hooked on some blueberry and cherry teas that put coffee to shame.

Also, the salted carmel hot chocolate at Starbucks is back.

One morning I was in the process of starting the coffee and just looked at it and said I don't want this... I tried a sip and didn't know why but it just didn't taste right. I didn't want soda either.

About two weeks later found out I was pregnant and would have been early on in it when coffee looked awful the first time.

After my son was born, I went back to my old ways and still love it. Dad always made it real strong, 'navy coffee' he called it and I still want it that way. But it was SO wierd about that morning.

Chocolate chips added to even cheap store brand icecream always make it better. Coffee icecream with a nice handfull sounds good. My two addictions are coffee and chocolate. I like the semisweet ones best. I'll make my won cocoa mix with more chocolate and less sugar and milk and mix it with hot coffee. yummm
