I run probably about 6 days a week. Usually all different styles. I mix it up, por ejemplo...One day I will do sprints and run twelve 400 meter sprints..... I go hard.
Another day, I will do a mellow 5 mile steady pace run, no sprinting. On other days I will do a mix of sprint training as well as a bit of distance, maybe like a warm up mile followed by sprints and stretches, etc... I need to run. I crave it. I love it. I'm quite fit, but I also smoke marijuana.
I smoke about once a day usually an hour before I go to sleep, because it kind of lulls me to sleep and helps me get a restful sleep. I will smoke a bowl usually, and no more. Sometimes may not even finish, maybe like 3 or 4 good hits ...enough to get toasty and just chill out a bit before bed, perhaps consume a snack after...
I know this is not helping my running, but how much do u think it's hurting me? I sometimes run competitively and in marathons and have fantastic times. I even train people on distance running and train them for marathons, so running is kind of my thing.... but again, I smoke marijuana and I personally do not believe it has negatively impacted my running, but I would like to hear the opinions of others.
Are there other runners out there that smoke? like me? Or am I some kind of freak? Keep in mind I never smoke before a run or immediately after. I usually run between 5 and 7 pm and may smoke a bowl between 10 and 11pm...

Get a vaporizer...you avoid the smoke and adverse effects of your lungs. It takes getting used to but I don't cough anymore. I went to a head shop and they helped me pick the right one (there are so many, and they are often $$) but there are plenty of resources online, as well as youtube reviews.
I did the same thing in college, the deal is, for me, I workout/run better while not using cannabis (I haven't used it in years). Everyone is different, the best way to know if it helps or hurts you is to do time trials against yourself sober and while actively using. You shouldn't have to use a drug to sleep, that isn't healthy. Try to figure out why you can't get to sleep without it and work on that aspect of your life.
You'll be fine. Smoking @ night to relax is usually the best time to do so. After smoking, your blood pressure almost immediately drops, which is why people sometimes feel dizzy/lightheaded & need to sit down. So as long as you don't smoke before a run, you'll be A-OK!
any access to edibles? I'm in Colorado, so I can buy them legally. I use them mainly for my worst sinus headaches, but on occasion I'll eat one when I'm stressed out and know I won't be able to sleep.
But if not, go with the vaporizer or start baking your own brownies
