A friend I had lost touch with died recently. She was 83 y/o and refused to even see a doctor. She died 3 months after a good friend noticed she wasn't quite herself at a social function.
Symtoms : increasing weakness, sores in mouth, swollen feet, some weight loss but not extreme. She died peacefully at home, in her bed, in her sleep.
I am just curious as to cause. I was thinking CHF but the mouth sores?
CHF is a likely diagnosis. The mouth sores could be a result of stress on the body. If your friend had a latent virus in her body, mouth sores may have become active due to the heart trying unsuccessfully to compensate.
