Look I just cannot take it anymore.. The feeling of my temples, forhead gonna explode. And when I bend over my cheeks fill up (They feel like that) and than my cheeks along with my forhead and temples get really painful and throb. Its difficult to sleep at night now as when I lie down I feel my head pulsating and throbbing. I got an MRI, CT scan for my head all came back clear, it said "Minor mucus in the maxillary sinus to the right" docs said it was nothing serious. Anyways I got all the blood test possible, HIV, hepatitis (ALL), gluten test, regular blood work, blood sugars, thyroid, Vitamin b deficiency and Mineral deficiencys, and MANY MANY MORE!! Everything was done. I had about 20 blood test done. They all came back good with results, even cancers came back good. Its been 4 months now.. I suffer with this throbbing in my cheeks and forhead and temples, I feel miserable now and just stop doing everything because the pain has stopped me from doing the things I enjoyed.. I quit school a while ago because I could not focus anymore due to the pain and my sleep is bad because of the throbbing at night. I did get my eyes checked but even that came back fine. The first time they thought I had a sinus infection they put me on Anti biotics (Baxin) but I stopped taking it at day 5 because it was hurting my stomach. Should I try taking anti biotic again for sinus infection, like maybe did I stop and it made it worse or something (I saw an ENT a week ago and they said it tension.

But I still feel pain.. It makes me feel sick.. I am going to see a neurologist soon. My dentist did find a impacted wisdom tooth on the top right of my mouth, its stuck behind my tooth (Has not come out of the gums and no swelling but he said its pushing another tooth from the top to the side) But he said I dunno if that would cause a headache to what your describing.

Im 20 and Male

I have seen a doctor about 12 of them and they all tell me tension headache.. It cant be! Throbbing and the torture of it

I even got IV for meds, and I tried taking tylenol, advil, muscles relaxants, and even prescription strength naproxen.. nothing worked

First of all, you shouldn't have discontinued the antibiotics without conferring with your doctor first. Antibiotics are meant to be taken in full - from the first pill to the last, til they're all finished. If you don't finish what is called "the full course" then you risk a couple of things: 1) not killing all the bacteria that's making you sick, thus encouraging it to grow and make you sick all over again, and 2) making those not-dead bacteria immune to antibiotics, thus making it very very difficult to be treated the next time around.

Second of all, no, don't start up on that batch of antibiotics. You should just throw them away, they're wasted now. If a doctor thinks you should get another prescription he'll prescribe it, and you need to take the *full course* of them, from start to finish, exactly as prescribed. Baxin is a brand name for Ampicillin, and is sold in India. I'm not sure why you got it in Canada, maybe they prescribe it there too. If you mean Biaxin, that's a brand name for Clarithromycin. Both antibiotics are used commonly for sinusitis and other bacterial respiratory infections, though ampicillin has fewer potential adverse reactions (unless you're allergic to members of the "illin" family of antibiotics, but that goes without saying).

Third, if you've been to twelve different doctors in four months and they all say you're experiencing tension headaches, and you've undergone all the tests you claim you've had (including tests for cancer??), then - you probably are experiencing tension headaches. Losing sleep, losing your job, countless doctors - at age 20, it is very very possible it's all just tension.

Also, I'm pretty surprised you've been able to see so many doctors and specialists in such a short period of time, with Canadian health care.

Also, you've already posted about this in dental, leaving out various information and claiming different information. In THIS thread, you say you've seen 12 doctors and they've all said tension headaches. In the other thread, you say you saw a "psych" and he said it was NOT tension. In this thread you have zero idea what it could be, but are sure it can't possibly be tension. In the other thread, you seem pretty sure it must be your wisdom teeth, even though you have astigmatism (which can cause headaches if your prescription needs to be updated).

In the other thread you claim you've been getting headaches for the past 5 months - and that was a week ago. In this thread, posted today, you say you've had nonstop headaches for the past 4 months.

I think there's some disconnect between what you are claiming on this forum, and what is actually happening.

You really should see an oral surgeon regarding the impacted tooth. That could possibly cause headaches. I know headaches can cause jaw pain. I don't know why the doctors you have seen seem to not be taking your complaints seriously. Be very clear about the severity of your pain when you meet with them.

I would see another ENT, preferably one who has a good reputation, as well as the neurologist.

Good luck to you, hope you find relief soon.

Not sure though.. They said maybe the wisdom tooth is pressing on a nerve that is spreading pain all in my temples and forhead..

So you guys dont think my wisdom tooth can give me all that pain? Thing is I have no tooth pain, but they claim I dont need to since there is no infection as it can just be hitting a nerve causing my headache. Is this true?

Just a guess -- do you drink sugar-free sodas? Go back to the sugar, it's better for you.

Do you have your own well water, that might be high in nitrites? (with an "I", not nitrAtes.) Nitrites can also occur in processed deli meats. Has there been any such change in recent months in your diet or drinking water source?

I once worked in a place with 12 co-workers, in a rural office in an agricultural state, that had its own well water. I surveyed the workers, and I found that there was a perfect 100% correlation between drinking coffee at the office, and having a headache nearly every day. High Nitrites in well water was common in that area. The only non-coffee drinker who had daily headaches lived on a nearby farm, with well water at home.

aspartame gives me headaches. If you drink a lot of sugar free soda with aspartame in it, try cutting it out cold turkey for a month. It takes about 3 sodas a day over a period of a few weeks for me to start getting the headaches and a couple weeks cold turkey for them to go away.
