I have gotten the tetanus shot when necessary. Two years ago when I was pregnant the OB ran blood work to check titers on everything to make sure I was up to date. Because I had traveled out of the country in the preceding five years, I was up to date on more then was even necessary. They didn't have a chicken pox vaccine when I was a kid, but since I had chicken pox I had the antibodies present. They gave me a TDAP before I left the hospital after giving birth. I believe in vaccines, so my child has also been fully vaccinated according to his age group. Although I have just read that he is not fully vaccinated against measles because they don't get the booster until four. He is only two, so he isn't old enough yet. Does anyone know if this is true? I was planning on calling his pediatrician this week to ask for sure.

Repeated TDAP last year

Also got 2nd pneumococcal and had to have Hep A and B repeated due to low titer after needle stick at work

Got Shingles and Yellow Fever as an adult (Yellow Fever was a *****...deep muscle, viscous through a needle that looked like a ball point pen refill....Then found out that the CDC dropped Yellow Fever by the time we got to Devil's Island)

flu every year

Just a comment....If I ever have to go to jail, I want to be sentenced for Devil's Island! Stunningly beautiful!!!!!

I had the TDaP and annual flu shots. The rest I haven't needed yet because I'm not in a target group.

I had a tetanus shot a few years back.

I don't do flu shots.

I already came down with measles, german measles, mumps and chicken pox.

I did take the smallpox and polio vaccines as a kid.

Yes. Originally I needed to get a whole bunch of vaccinations in order to satisfy my university's immunization policy all because my parents lost my vaccination record a long time ago and my previous schools did not have the complete record on file. I received a DTP booster and a dose of MMR vaccine since the titers came back negative (which was odd because I had to have that vaccine in order to go through elementary/middle/high school, but I guess the antibodies faded over time) before I was able to recover the rest of the immunization record from a military hospital I went to as a child. If I had not recovered any of my records, it would have been three rounds of DTP and two rounds of MMR. Apparently the polio and hepatitis B vaccine wasn't required since I was older than 18/born before 1994.

I had another MMR jab as an adult because my mum couldn't remember if I had had one or two doses. Last tetanus was 12 years ago so I really ought to get that done.

I had a tetanus shot when I was a kid and stepped on a nail that poked through my sneaker and into my foot. I think that's the last time I've ever had a booster shot for anything at all. My doctor hasn't recommended any other than the flu shot, but she said I'm not really at risk so it would be just a general recommendation, and nothing urgent if I wanted to refrain. However, I am definitely considering getting a shingles vaccine. Just the thought of coming down with shingles is scary, even though my immune system is pretty amazingly solid.

Yes, tetanus as part of DTP - my doc mentioned it last year so I went ahead. I have no issues with vaccines and get a flu shot every year. I'm getting the shingles vaccine as soon as my insurance will pay....maybe sooner. I'm just into my 50's, if that makes a difference...maybe more so than if I was college-aged, for example.

I'm 20. I need my Td booster.

The CDC vaccine schedule recommends that I get the HPV and MMR vaccine.

Tetanus and whooping cough at last booster.

As far as flu goes, no, I don't get those, primarily because of thimensol but also, I have terrific allergies, hurricane force sneezes and lots of mucus. With my heightened physical defenses (not on any medication for them, I think the country is over medicated), I usually don't need it......I think.
