Yes. I have had blepheritis for years. A long time ago I went to an eye doctor to get contact lenses and asked to be fit with the thinnest ones he could. So he did and my eyes started to react with buildup. Ever since I have had it. For years I would clean my eyes with baby shampoo every night but when I would wake up there would be the crusty buildup. I kept using the shampoo because I thought it would be worse if I didn't use it. Then one day I quit using that shampoo and just wiped my eyes with a wet washcloth. And right away the blephoritis went away(mostly). I get some but very little. So I think the shampoo was destroying whatever was fighting the blephoritis. Anyway doctors say it isn't harmful and it hasn't caused me any vision problems. How long have you had yours and was there any even that led up to it?
My husband had it. He applied hot compresses two times a day for about a month and it cleared up. You have to hold the hot compress on gently and not push on your eye. It really relieved the pain and healed it up.
