This morning, I had forgo the showering until tonight. My husband said I smell great & that the natural smell was best. I did feel a lot better not taking a shower 2 times a day (which I had done for 10 years now).

So is 1 time a day, at night, the best way to go?

I don't even take a shower every day unless I get especially sweaty or dirty. If my "natural smell" is strong enough for my husband to smell it, then I definitely need to take a shower. I normally don't smell like much of anything to anyone other than my cat (who I am absolutely convinced can smell my husband coming off the exit ramp from the highway).

Living in Arizona, where the summers here are very brutal, I have to take 1 everyday. But I don't need to more than once though. LOL!

A shower is never necessary, unless you need to impress your friends, and then the necessary frequency is whatever they will tolerate before they start gifting you body scent products..

I am naturally very-smelly.

I try to scrub the stink off my body at least twice a day, YMMV!

Right, some people smell more and might need 3 showers a day.

Then with most people, fewer showers may be needed in the winter - maybe can go a few days without, but might need 2 some days in the summer, especially if working outside.

I think in Europe it is once a week?

Of course it's not! I prefer bathing before bed....but if I'm doing something sweaty (cutting grass or whatever), the another shower is in order!

Do what you need. Used to be, folks bathed once weekly...if that....and yet they lived long enough to spawn our generation!

I shower daily, in the evening. As a child, we were never allowed to get in bed unless we had a bath and I guess it has transferred into adulthood for me.

Now like Saturday I went on a 5 mile hike and I was covered with sweat, bug spray, and sunscreen. I wasn't waiting til the evening to take a shower that day!

In the summer when my deodorant quits at noon, I'm showing twice a day. My hair is now very short (summer cut). I get in, get wet, water off, soap up, rinse. I can be in and out with a minimum of water and time.

It's worth it so that I don't stink. There are certain other people in my life who shower about every three days and they really need a daily scrubbing.
