Can I eat Puddings or Jello? I would hate to eat this and make my GERD much worse.

Usually, raw onions, peppers, and spices will make GERD worse. You need to experiment and keep a careful record until you find your own triggers. Mine is totally gone by elevating my bed and avoiding raw acid foods. You can find inforamtion about this your other medical issues at MayoClinic.com or JohnsHopkins Hospital.

According to my gastroenterologist, it matters more WHEN you eat than WHAT you eat. Specifically, never lie down less than three hours after eating. Following his advice has helped me greatly.

I've had GERD off and on for years and here lately it has gotten real bad. I think it was from drinking diet pop and now I have stopped this. I drink mainly water and milk. I have for years elevating my bed and this helped alot.

And, stop eating HOURS and HOURS before bed! No late night snacks! And, raise the head of the bed a bit...that can really help.

You should be able to get away with eating a little pudding, though chocolate may not be the best choice. I don't think Jello would be a problem. Off the top of my head and in no particular order, stay away from citrus fruit, tomatoes, onions, caffeinated and carbonated beverages. Oh, and chocolate. Right. Like that's going to happen in my life.
