I have always been scared of that, ever since it came out. I have had health care professionals tell me to stay away from it that it is dangerous stuff.

Funny this thread shows up here today, just yeasterday I found another board that was discussing this same thing and someone posted this link. Go here and read the many side effects of that stuff...

Aspartame Side Effects

Go to some of the links there after reading it and it will scare the daylights out of you!!

No the new study just came out and they have found in their new studies that it changes your brain and that is how you start to put on weight. It screws up your metabolic process. For some people it can be as little as one drink or food a day. They eluded to other problems also. They suggested everyone quit using it.

I agree and refer to artificial sweeteners as 'poisons' and have said that when writing to food companies about their products.
I've especially had a hard time with Splenda. It became so big with the 'low carb' craze that people didn't care what they were eating as long as it wasn't 'carbs'. Well hello, there are some of us that would just like our good old fashioned sugar back and not have our foods tampered with.
