3 days ago as I was finishing in immigration office I was suddenly hit out of the blue with a severe feeling of sickness involving fatique, dizziness, fever, terrible aches especially my back and it must have gone from nothing to full blown in only 3 hours. The next morning ( day before yesterday) Aches went away and fatigue minimized, and at least most of the time, I did not feel much fever but now it has been flat with no improvement on chills and headache yesterday or this morning. I continue lack of appetite, chills and dizziness and what can best be described as a more pronounced form of that lightheaded feeling people can get when they get up too fast. what could this be? I am in southern Philippines.

If you had a fever, I'd suspect flu....Influenza comes on fast and hard...lasts about 3-4 days. If you get worse, or don't improve by the weekend...head to a doctor!

ok. It is true flu is only supposed to be 3 to 4 days?

And you think it is not abnormal to only have chills and dizziness continuing after the first day?

I did just read that for flu: The worst flu or cold symptoms will be over in 4-5 days but complete recovery can take up to 10 days. So I guess I won't panic until Tuesday.

Not much flu around now, but it could be any sort of virus. Three days is a bit soon to feel better if that's the case.

That description also matched my experience of morning sickness when I was pregnant. If you are female of child bearing age, go pee on a stick.

Last time I had the flu, I was flat on my back sick for a week, and didn't feel back to normal for three weeks! I should have got the kind of flu that only lasts 3-4 days.
