Meaning that you're not drinking the above average amount of caffeine or energy drinks, you don't feel lousy since you are sleep deprived in the AM (don't hear to often about this issue for those who wake up after 800a) and you're not sleeping half the day on one of your days off to catch up.
If so, any tips? Or are you just lucky?

No, I've never been able to successfully do that. I've been able to function on less sleep, but that doesn't mean that I was sharp or effective.

When my children were newborn age (birth through 6 months) and I was nursing, yes, I was routinely getting (and functioning well on) 5-6 hours of sleep per night. I was not consuming large quantities of caffeine during the day (because of the nursing) and I rarely slept when the kids were napping, as I preferred to use that time doing things around the house that were all but impossible when they are awake.

It seemed like 5.5 hours was the tipping point for me. And, that amount of sleep per night had to consist of a true and complete full REM cycle of at least 3 hours at a time. Anything over that, and I felt pretty good.

Adjust? No. I've only slept 5 or 6 hours a night as long as I remember. I'm 61.

I slept 5 or 6 hours a night for many years, and ended up extremely overweight. Now that I sleep 8 or 10 hours a night, it has become much easier to lose weight.

I've slept 5 to 6 hours per night for over 15 years because I work 14-16 hours per day.

Is it healthy? NO.
Have I adjusted? Somewhat.
Would I recommend it? NO!

Some people require less sleep but if you're trying to adjust your body to something different than it needs, eventually you'll succumb to symptoms of sleep deprivation.

I would adjust in the "high season" as we leave the dock anywhere from 4 to 5 AM and I am one not to go to bed till at least midnight. If we would get a run of trips I would be living on 3 hrs of sleep a night and that would be fine. Now when that run of trips would end and I had a day off the next day might not exist for me. At least any hours before 3PM as I would make up my lost sleep then.

When I didn't get enough sleep for a couple of years here or a few years there, I lost weight--too much weight--and became ill. Sleep deprivation isn't good.
