I went to the doctor to get tested of any viruses and I came out clean except for one and that is herpes type 1.

The doctor explained to me what it is but I didn't get the full picture.

It's no picnic. I wouldn't want to be with someone with HSV of any variety.

Herpes 1 is mouth sores, it's usually Herpes 2 that causes genital sores, correct? I don't think it's such a big deal.

You've probably never been with someone that doesn't have some for of HSV.

Between type 1 and 2 it like 90% of the population. You probably have it yourself. I have type 1, and I've never had a cold sore in my life.

So its nothing to be embarrassed about.

Its like when you say "herpes" most take it seriously but due to lack of knowledge they don't which one which. Because there"s two types of herpes

Herpes simplex virus Type 1 most commonly causes "cold sores" or "fever blisters" around the mouth. About half of all people age 14 to 49 have it. Many never have symptoms from it and never know they have it.

HSV 1 can cause genital infections, too, though.
