You don't know until you try. How can one speak of other's experiences when they have not tried them for themselves.
I did 10 yrs of anti depressant drugs and NEVER got out of depression. Granted it, I finally got on Armour thyroid and depression lifted in 4 days....10 yrs of depression and years of drugs that did NOTHING. So I've tried some drugs in my life...but I'm not there anymore. I've learned. It's not like I've never taken drugs. So I can speak from both sides. Can you? It's interesting how so many can ridicule other's approaches to their healing.

Coming back to the original post that started this thread by the guy looking for a new doctor, a couple years ago I needed to find a new doctor. I was not sick at the time nor did I have any particular issues but I wanted to know who it was that I was going to call when I did need to see a doctor. Also, around here it can be hard to find a primary care physician that is taking new patients and I didn't want to leave things to chance. He required that I come in for a full physical so that he can establish a baseline of my health so that when I did come to him for something he already knows who I am and he already has my history by virtue of the interview that day and by having had my records transferred to his office from my prior doctor's office. That physical included a blood test and urinalysis too. This all made sense to me.
As an aside, it was a routine annual physical that included a urinalysis that discovered an uncommon and aggressive bladder cancer 11 years ago, catching it in time to be fully treatable. I thanked that doctor afterwards for being so thorough. I did not fit any of the risk factors for bladder cancer at the time.
