honey is 30% glucose, 40% fructose. ....they're not quite the same.

Considering honey is denser, but also sweeter, someone removing refined sugar from their diet should be using less amounts of honey, than they would sugar... I think its a good move to remove refined sugar and processed foods, and to use honey until you become use to removing sugar from the diet, (and finding that fruit, is actually sweet enough for a sugar hit).

Yogurt has sugar....flavored yogurt had ADDED sugar, but plain yogurt counts the lactose from milk, which is actually digested (or at least partially digested) by the live cultures.

I eat a bit of PLAIN yogurt with berries. No added sugar.

To me, it's like salt. If you don't have hypertension, there's really no harm in eating salt and, unless you're diabetic, a little sugar won't hurt you. For some, I suppose there's virtue in total self-denial...

I'm not into total self denial, believe me I've done my share of sugar in my long life. But it has caught up with ME....arthritis issues and a mouthful of dental work. Regrets, I can't live with regrets, we do what we do at the times in our lives. Would I do what I did years ago, NO WAY. I have not brought a cookie into my house for months...Finally decided not too. My weakness can be dark chocolate Dove candy and the other day at CVS I ended up buying a 2.77 bar and eating a piece a day or every other day.

Well, on my deathbed, I'm pretty sure I'll regret all the things I DIDN'T eat...

Not me, I've tasted about everything I've wanted to taste. No regrets when I go out. I thought my last meal would be spaghetti and meatballs but that may not be possible. Never know how I'll leave, maybe in my sleep, I hope anyway.

I agree. Although my day to day diet is without sugar and flour. If I feel like a bowl of pasta, or a slice of birthday cake, I have it. No big deal.
