Ok I weigh 250 pounds work out 3X a week at the Gym 2 hours a day, half hour on Weights and Hour and Half Cardio. I have a Trainer and Doctor keeping an eye on me.

Doctor says Heart Rate and Blood Pressure are great. I'm solid, not Fat. My Doctor and trainer tell me not to worry about the scales and don't be cutting back on eating trying to lose weight.

I feel ok but Charts say I'm obese???

Oh I'm 62.

I'm not going to say anything different than what your doctor's tell you. You're healthy. If you want to lose weight, lose weight.

Sounds like you are doing good to me! Trust what your doctor and trainer tell you and how you feel. The three of you know your body best.

There is a common misconception that we all must fall within a specific range of something on some chart. When not everyone will or should.

When I was pounding the iron, my weight was in the same range (hgt. 6'1") but I was younger. I was said to be solid too but the docs were appalled at my blood pressure and blood chemistry.

Unless an individual is in the neighborhood of 7 ft., it's hard for me to picture a 250 lb., 62-year-old man as having the physique/body fat % of an NFL linebacker.

Congratulations. I applaud you.

I'm 5' 11" My BP and HR are great.

Today I warmed up 10 minutes on Stepper, did half hour on Weights. Did 50 Minutes on Stepper average HR 144 BPM. Then did an hour work out in the pool.

Plus I cut Firewood, no splitting with Splitter all with Maul and do Garden work.

There's a huge difference between 250lbs of fat and 250 lbs of muscle. Go with what your trainer and doc say...sometimes those 'charts' aren't accurate.
