My husband also has PTSD. It is difficult to get social security on a mental issue. The judge put more weight on their doctor's 45 minute evaluation than his medical records of several years of treatment. The judge basically said his doctors were incompetent and didn't know what they were talking about. He recently had his second hearing (he had to refile), with a different judge in a different state. He hasn't worked for 8 years. Just because a judge determines that you are not disabled doesn't change the fact that you are and can't work. Keep fighting. What else can you do?
