My extremely vegan step daughter sent this to me but I've heard similar arguments from nutritionists. I found the history behind the Eat More Dairy very interesting. I have three Asian daughters who all eventually had to stop with most dairy because of lactose intolerance. We do keep half and half for tea, a bit of sourcream out of habit and lots of cheese cause DH and I love it so much.

Thoughts?

I doubt we "need" to consume dairy at all - considering it is meant for babies of other species.

That said, there's a lot we don't need and still enjoy in limited amounts - assuming it's something we can tolerate individually.

Cheese is a particular weakness for me. I can pass up the chocolate but a wedge of brie is another story. I keep only small amounts of cheese on hand for that very reason.

The industries that produce all foods are strong for their products. I use a bit of cheese and not long ago I stopped all cheese but I gave in to it.

We are the only beings that drink cow's milk on and on after weaned from our mother's breasts. I use half and half for coffee or coconut milk.

Dairy causes a lot of mucus in our bodies.

We don't need to consume dairy, but if a person is able to do so without problems, and likes to, it's no one else's business.

I love cheese and butter and consume copious amounts without apology.

Not sure how "we are the only beings....yada...yada...yada... is even relevant to a discussion on nutrition or any health matters..

What other "beings" are in discussion? Aliens?

Are we talking animals??

You drink coffee according to your post...

What other "beings" on earth drink coffee?? My dog doesn't.......

I don't see how it is anyone's business what other people eat. The end. Ridiculous.

Yogurts are much better than milk as long as it's not overly loaded with sugar.

OP asked a question and some of us are making our comments. It's true it's no one else's business what anyone does.
