Smoking paralyzes the cilia that beats all of the crap out of your lungs. When you stop smoking the celia become active again and resume their job.

Your hoarseness could be a function of your lungs cleansing themselves.

Congrats on quitting, that is a major accomplishment!

My mother smoked for YEARS....and never had laryngitis until she quit.....she's 83, hale and hearty, but still gets hoarse, at times!

Stay off the cigs!

Hi - I quit on November 11, 2015 (that was the day I ended up in the ER for an unrelated reason) after smoking for over 50 years ... for the first few weeks it seemed like I was hoarse all the time ... but eventually it stopped ... it's been over six months now and I don't have any cravings - although I gained 20 pounds because I'm always hungry .

Hey,

It's really great news to hear that everyone here has quit smoking here. Even I have the same experience. I did it last year 2015. But that wonderful experience I would like to share with you all of you dear I was a chain smoker and took about 2 packets per day which is about 40 cigarettes. I was trying to quit it anyways. And was looking for the better way. Hope find it and take e-juice sample pack. With few months all of my addiction gone out. I am really grateful to it https://www.blacknote.com/e-juice-sample-pack/

Amazing experience it was. Thank you!
