Many people confuse being thirsty with hunger.
Drinking enough water throughout the day has other benefits.

Over-hydration can be dangerous to your body.
When too much water collects in the body, it can lead to water intoxication or dangerously low levels of sodium in the blood (hyponatremia). There are two types of overhydration: increased water intake and retaining water.

Yeah, you'd have to drink way more than 2 or 3 liters of water to "overhydrate."

How much do I take in? About 3 liters or so I guess.

A lot of that comes from the spices I use, such as garlic; I'm always thirsty or at least, craving it in my mouth.

Further, as Texas summer rolls in, I am trying to curtail my use of dehydrators, such as coffee (sort of, but I'm about to break that a little in that I am awake at Saturday sunrise and I am living a fantasy about being a normal day person); wine (not as successful for that falls into an even stronger fantasy); and then there is tea. Tea is not as great a dehydrator and with my past as a designated driver, I am most hooked on it.

I guess because one likes things like garlic.....and Chinese horseradish, one just gets use to having the big bottle or big glass near by to compensate.
