I have had that happen when I've had a pinched nerve in my back.

I also developed Bell's Palsy a few years ago after a bad cold. I thought listening to my grandmother say ignorant things had given me a stroke. My whole face eventually went numb, with the feeling spreading to my fingers. Some Pred stopped it in its tracks. It was a little scary, but we still laugh about it. I told people if they wanted to punch me in the face, now was the time to do it.

Hope you figure this out soon! It can indeed be very frightening. I think it sounds like a pinched nerve, but what do I know?

I went to my Primary Physician at the request of the neurosis the to have a blood test and some heart tests. He couldn't do any thing and said the blood tests required special tubes that he didn't have and the heart tests had to be done by a cardiologist. He proceeded to give me my annual, physical, while I was there. My blood pressure was 120/80. THen, I went to a local blood lab and they took 14 tubes of blood. I am going to the cardiologist this week and then have a couple of MRIs of my brain. Will post the results and findings when I find out.,

Thanks to all who are concerned. I am not looking for sympathy. I was just looking for some input and ideas what may have happened.

You may have a nerve disorder. Another possibility is Vitamin B-12 Deficiency

I went to the cardiologist and my blood pressure was 130 over 80, no biggie. He didn't want to make me wear a monitor because it was a first time incident and have no history of anything. I was given an echo cardio gram with bubbles to rule out a hole in my heart, which it did.

Sunday, will be getting an MRA of the neck and head and an MRI of the brain. MOnday is my EEG test. Will post the results of everything when I know.

I got the MRI and MRAs and my EEG. I called the Neurologist today and he said everything came back normal and considered this a one time episode. He thinks it may have been caused by the herniated disc in my neck but I know it wasn't that. I have to see him again in three months. While I am happy there is nothing wrong, I hate when no one knows why something happened. Thanks to those who chimed in.

Any visual symptoms such as flashing or zigzagging lights?

Also read about multiple sclerosis.

No flashing or lights. Just a one time 30 minute numbness of the right side of my body from my arms down.

Also glad the tests came back ok.

I suggest getting a little notebook and write down any more incidents of anything that doesn't seem normal on your right side (or anywhere). You can keep track of anything happening that way, should you need to go for more tests in the future.
