Had an idiot doctor from Texas try to tell me in his opinion, such a disease doesn't exist,WELL Patna,I'm a gonna disagree with you on that one, having had it,TWICE,in six years.Any posters care to comment?Had it?Think its a medical scam?
I was the first CONFIRMED case of Lymes in central california in 1993. They were shocked! I got bit during a trout fishing trip. The Dept. of Fish and Game came to my hospital room and had me draw a map of the trails we hiked so they could post warning signs. Also. med students from San Fran came down to study the "bullseye rash" at the bite site which was behind my right knee. They kept doing blood titer tests and they kept coming back positive and meanwhile i was getting sicker and sicker and........
I had it a few years ago. A tick got on me when I was showing a vacant house in a rural area.
I had a rash perfectly round size of a quarter on my back... didn't itch, didn't hurt... saw the doc right here in Dallas and he immediately told me that it was Lyme Disease... took a course of antibiotics and within 10 days all gone!!!! He did tell me that if gone untreated there could be very serious complications including death.
I have also had it. It was a couple of years ago. I never got the rash, but I did have all the other symptoms. I sometimes feel like its never gone away, but I can't get a straight answer from anyone on whether or not it actually does go away. It seems that some believe once you've had the blast of antibiotics its gone - others seem to believe that once you have it you always have it. I wish I knew. The fatigue and aches would be easier to deal with if I knew what it was.

If oral antibiotics do not work,a course of IV will be needed, was in the same boat as you, after a month of IV therapy,I feel a thousand times better, don't take no for an answer from your doctor!
I found a tick on my back, because it was itching like a mosquito bite. I had someone get it off. No bullseye. Still looked like a mosquito bite. Within a week, I had flulike symptoms. Went to doctor and had two weeks of antibacterial. Felt fine for about four months. Then I started aching all over, had pain in my knee, couldn't think and became very emotional. Have been on antibiotics for seven months. I still have the symtoms, but not as severe.
