Restasis takes a long time to see results - like six months or so. At least that's what they told me when I started it.


I've since come off it and my opth says to use any tear solution (systane is a good one) as often as I need to.

LASIK procedures can (or perhaps do) sever the nerves that would signal your brain that your eyes are dry. I had two LASIK procedures on both eyes. I've had dry eye issues for over 9 years.

I use Systane Ultra High performance eye drops during the day and Systane lubricant eye gel overnight therapy (NOT the ointment) at night.
