My tinnitus started when I was 12 and now I am 69. I shot on my HS shooting team without ear protection, which at that time; was not important.

I have become accustomed to the sound and it does come and go. The more I think about it; the more pronounced the ringing becomes. But; I have had it this long and it is a familiar voice. I can picture why some cannot/will not simply live and let live this curse. But, smile every time you see kids in one of these cars that rattle your windows with the sound of their speakers - you know what they have ahead of them for the rest of their lives!

You might not! But these idiots paid good money for their new curse; let them enjoy it! They want others to be 'exposed' to the sound without hearing protection.
