The amoeba won't get you.
But the tick bite might....
Or the mosquito bites....
Or the raccoon roundworm....
Or the bat rabies.....
Or the drunk driver....
Or the texting driver, for that matter.
Now go take a shower. It's time.

It's not something I worry about. I would suggest you get some nose plugs and watch the stagnant hot water.

How do you wash your hair?

After that long not taking a shower, you might ruin your bathtub. You should go to a deserted beach first, and swim in the salt water, to get all the bathtub-eating microorganisms off.
And you need not worry about the brain-eating amoeba if the first part of your brain it eats is the part that makes you worry about it.

That's wise of you , because I believe I heard someone say fear
draws it thru the pipes to the actual fear source...the mind.

It's also probably good you have not washed your face for quite a while, because those eyelash mites LOVE unwashed faces...they really thrive then.

It's scary, yes, and I have pondered about it, but you're more likely to die from a car accident or even from lightning than from that.

Paranoia is one of the signs that you have the ameba in your brain now.

how about the Zika virus? Heck, a tick might even get you and you could end up with the worst case of Lyme disease ever? Let's just say, in appears most of us are not really terribly concerned about the same things you seem to be.
