I had one as part of fibroid removal surgery. Most of the pain I felt afterward was from my legs being in the stirrups for so long (60 mins) and general achiness and nausea from the anesthesia. Good luck, I am so glad I had those fibroids removed this way!

Thanks.
I just had it done a few hours ago, It's uncomfortable with cramping at times, but not unbearable. If your the nervous type like I am see if they can give you something to calm your nerves. It was a pretty quick procedure. I had a great Doctor which helped me alot. Anyone reading this from Colorado I would recommend:

It was scary and uncomfortable but quick, Just cramping when they put gas in your uterus, I just had it done 3 hours ago and feel ok. The ibuprofen helps but if your nervous ask for valium.
My legs were shaking the whole time now Im embarrased because it wasn't horrible just uncomfortable. They numb your cervix prior so its just cramping a few times for a few seconds. Relax you will be fine.

Wow, this came back to life after a while!

I didn't come back to update everyone but I guess I will now.

They took me to the OR and gave me General anesthesia because I was a smoker (although had quit recently). The hospital didn't want to give me "only" IV/twilight stuff. It's a good thing they put me out completely. I had some polyps removed and needed a D&C. No pain or any effects after. Seems like anesthesia didn't bother me at all either. It must not have been that much and it was a shorter procedure.
