I work at a store that uses thermal register receipts. Over time, I developed a terrible case of dermatitis on my hands, from handling the BPA coated thermal register receipts. The company responded by ordering BPA-free paper, but my hands have not improved. They are constantly bleeding and painful. It seems the new paper isn't much better, it's coated with BPS which hasn't been proven safer than BPA.
I have been wearing cotton gloves covered by latex ones regularly. The dermatologist gave me a prescription for Clobetasol, which I use every night, again covering my hands with cotton gloves while I sleep. No improvement after 2 weeks. I've tried Eucerin, Aquafor, Neosporin, Working Hands, and nothing is helping.
Any suggestions (beyond quitting, because I love what I do).
